Meet Our Team

Amanda graduated from Sheldon High School and obtained her degree as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2012 from Des Moines Area Community College. She is also cross trained as a Certified Dental Assistant. Away from the office you will find Amanda working along-side her husband Scott on the farm. They enjoy hunting, four-wheeling and spending time with family.

Katie graduated from Hawkeye Community College in 2009 with a degree in Dental Hygiene and joined our office that same year. Katie and her husband Colin are both natives of New Hampton. In her free time Katie stays busy with their daughter Kendall. They also enjoy being outside and golfing. The Larsen’s are Hawkeye fans and big Packer fans.

Shelly originates from New Hampton and has been a Dental Hygienist in the office since 1995. Shelly is married to Chris and they have two daughters-Victoria and Callie. In her spare time she enjoys helping out in the community, shopping, golfing, sitting around a bonfire and relaxing. The family is fans of the Vikings, Steelers, Hawkeyes and of course, the Chickasaws!

Tara graduated from Sumner-Fredericksburg High School in 2014 and obtained her degree as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2018 from Hawkeye Community College. Tara went on to obtain her Bachelors Degree in Public Health at Allen College. In her spare time, she coaches for Iowa Elite Volleyball Club, enjoys playing slow pitch, kayaking, boating, fishing, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog, Thor. She is also an adamant Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.

Sally grew up in Fredericksburg was a graduate of Sumner-Fredericksburg High School. Sally furthered her education at Iowa Central and joined our office in 2021 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Sally and her husband, Bob, have three children-Abel (6), Clara (4) and Callan (1). Sally and Bob don’t have much free time as they stay busy chasing kids around!

Macy Flick graduated from New Hampton High School in 2018. After high school, Macy attended Hawkeye Community College becoming a Dental Assistant in 2021 and later
becoming a Dental Hygienist in 2023. Macy, her boyfriend, Tristan, and their two year old golden retriever, Zhuri, moved back to New Hampton recently to be closer to family. Macy enjoys spending time with family and friends and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Abby comes to our office from Lime Springs and is a graduate of Riceville High School. Abby earned her Registered Dental Assistant degree in 2003 from Rochester Community and Technical College. In 2005 she joined our office and completed her expanded duty functions for dental assisting. Abby and her husband, Randy enjoy spending time with their families & enjoy farming.

Becca is a 2012 graduate from Sumner-Fredericksburg High School. She furthered her education at Hawkeye Community College, receiving her degree as a Registered Dental Assistant in 2014. She has also completed her Expanded Duty Functions for Dental Assisting. Becca & her husband Scott enjoy spending time with their two kids, Brynn and Conrad, and their three dogs. The family likes going on car cruises with their friends, and spending time with family.

Lisa is a graduate of New Hampton High School. Lisa joined our office as a Dental Assistant and has been in the dental profession for over 25 years. Lisa and her husband Gene, live near Spillville, have two children-Jarett and Nichole (Jess Ellingson) and four granddaughters. Lisa enjoys golfing, reading and spending time outdoors. Some of Lisa’s favorite times are spent with family, her granddaughters and friends.

Sara originates from New Hampton and is a graduate of New Hampton High School. Sara furthered her education at Kirkwood Community College, receiving her Registered Dental Assisting degree in 2005. Sara joined our office in 2006 and then successfully completed the Expanded Functions for Dental Assisting. Sara and her husband, Tyler have three children -Brenna, Lauren and Elliott. Their family enjoys four-wheeling and snowmobiling, along with cheering for the Iowa State Cyclones.

Alexis Wertz is a Registered Dental Assistant. Alexis graduated high school from New Hampton High School and then attended Hawkeye Community College for her Dental Assisting Degree.  Alexis completed her Expanded Duty Functions for Dental Assisting in 2021. Alexis lives near New Hampton. In her free time, Alexis loves to work with her horses- Red and Whiskey.

Kaylee Heinze grew up in Fairbank, Iowa, and graduated from Wapsie Valley High School. After high school, Kaylee furthered her education to become a Registered Dental Assistant and successfully completed her Expanded Duty Functions for Dental Assisting in 2023. In her free time, Kaylee enjoys hunting, spending time with family, and adventures on her side-by-side.

Callie graduated from New Hampton High School in 2018 and graduated from Dental Assisting at Hawkeye Community College in 2020. Callie Obtained her level one expanded function March of 2021. Outside of the office you can find Callie shopping, hanging with family and friends, or golfing.

Amanda was born and raised in Texas. A graduate of Florence High School in 2007, Amanda then attended Austin Dental Assistant School and became a Registered Dental Assistant in 2012. Amanda later completed her Expanded Duty Functions for Dental Assisting. Amanda, her husband, Robert and their children, River and Rory are excited to be living in Iowa and are looking forward to expanding their family.

Andrea has served as an Office Manager since February of 2021. Andrea is a Registered Dental Assistant and prior to joining our team as Office Manager, Andrea worked as an RN for 24 years. Andrea and her husband, John, have 2 daughters- Alexa and Emma. In her free time, Andrea likes to spend time with family, hike and travel to anywhere with a beach!

Raeann has been with the office since 1991 and serves as the Office Manager. She is a Certified Dental Assistant. Has also, completed her Expanded Duty Functions for Dental Assisting. She and her husband, Jim live near New Hampton and enjoy spending time with their daughter Katie her husband, Colin and granddaughter, Kendall. Raeann and her family are loyal Green Bay Packer fans.

Karla Schmidt graduated from Turkey Valley High School. After graduation Karla attended Carlson College of Massage Therapy and had her own practice for 13 years. Karla stayed home with her 3 kids Karissa, Kourtney, and Kaden when they were young. Karla also helps with her husband, Aaron’s, construction business. In their free time, the Schmidts enjoy time at the Mississippi River and going to sporting events.

Jessie was born and raised in Ionia, Iowa. After graduating from New Hampton High School in 2016, Jessie pursued a degree in Dental Assisting at Hawkeye Community College. When Jessie isn’t caring for patients in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Cole, her dog, Simba and her family. Jessie’s hobbies include going fishing and attending the local dirt track races.

Rebecca is a 1998 graduate of Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Ia. Rebecca has worked as a Registered Dental Assistant for 21 years prior to joining our team in August of 2021. Rebecca and her husband, Mark, have 2 children, a daughter- Hannah (Leichtman) Benhart and a son- Luke. The Leichtman family hobby farm north of Fredricksburg. Rebecca enjoys baking, playing volleyball, and trout fishing in her spare time.

Mercedez was born and raised in Spencer, IA where she attended and graduated Spencer High School. Mercedez attended Iowa Central Community College on a cheer scholarship and later graduated with her AA degree in Liberal Arts. Mercedez and her boyfriend, Spencer, recently relocated back to Iowa after living in Charleston, South Carolina for 2 years. Mercedez and Spencer welcomed their son, Daxton, on leap day in 2024! In her free time, Mercedez enjoys spending time with family and friends, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, attending concerts, reading and traveling!
